ACOM sues the Spanish Government’s Delegate Office in Madrid

The Government’s Delegate Office ignores the warnings about the participation of Palestinian terrorist groups in demonstrations in Madrid.

Under Article 122 of the LAW 29/1998 that regulates the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction ACOM challenges the resolution of the Government’s Delegate Office in Madrid that rejects our petition to forbid the demonstration programmed for 27 January 2024 in Madrid in support of the destruction of Israel and the extermination of its citizens.

After repeatedly ignoring our warnings about the participation of Palestinian terrorist groups in demonstrations in Madrid, the Government’s Delegate Office will have to face also our supplementary petition for an urgent cautionary measure.

Among the organisers of the demonstration is the POPULAR FRONT FOR THE LIBERATION OF PALESTINE (PFLP), which is considered by the European Union (and also in Spain by the Guardia Civil) as a TERRORIST ORGANISATION against which we must take measures to restrict capitals and movements. The EU list of terrorist groups that includes the PFLP also has other organisations such as Hamas or the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.

One of the official slogans of the demonstration is “Free Palestine, from the river to the sea”, very often used in the environment of antisemitic terrorism; a declaration of intention or political will to destroy the Israeli nation (as the territory of Israel is the space they intend to occupy from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean Sea) and exterminate its citizens as a result.

In our previous petition to the Government’s Delegate Office we warned that if, as usual, there was again a silence in response to our petition, we would appeal to the courts, as is our right according to Article 10 of the Organic Law on freedom of assembly, to challenge the government’s decision on said demonstration. After 72 hours from the presentation of said petition, the Government’s Delegate Office in Madrid has not issued any response, for which reason it must be understood they reject the petition to forbid we made. Our appeal is against said rejection.

In its commitment to defend democracy, ACOM will continue to unmask in all areas, from the legal to the media, all the actions carried out by the terrorists and their antisemite collaborators who, with their false solidarity with the Palestinian people, intend to coerce, intimidate, and curtail the freedoms of Jews in Spain; even as in this case with the participation of murderous groups with blood on their hands in their desire to constantly harass the only Jewish State in the world and the only democracy in the Middle East.
